Painting

Hand painting cast pieces at Strath Craft's production facility in London, Ontario Painting

Finally, each piece is enamelled by hand to ensure a high-quality finished product.

How are cast pieces painted?

At Strath Craft, everything is painted by hand. We use a "colour fill" process, where enamel is set by hand into the recessed areas of the design. The raised metal stays bright and the colour sits neatly in between. Painting is the final step in production, after plating.

Can you match my colours?

Yes. We work with Pantone colour codes, so you can specify the exact shades in your logo or crest, or choose from our selection of stock Pantone shades. We can also visually colour match to a sample you provide. Colour matching is a visual, as-close-as-possible match, and custom paint mixing is available at an additional charge.

What do we paint?

Hand painting is available on all the metal items we produce, including medallions, lapel pins and cast crests, as well as some of our engraved items.
